DETENTION HALL
Students required to serve detentions are notified by the person assigning the detention. It is the responsibility of the student to make arrangements for transportation home when detention hall is released at 4:30. Participation in sports, or other after school activities does not excuse a student from detention.
There are two detention periods, one after school, Monday through Thursday from 3:40 to 4:30 and one in the morning from 7:30 to 8:00 Monday through Friday.
In most cases, students will have the day a detention is received and the next day to serve their detention. When a student accumulates a number of detentions, the principal will make a schedule for the make-up time. Students who choose to do satisfactory work around the school on various projects will reduce the number of their detentions. If a student accumulates a large number of detentions it may be necessary for him to attend Saturday school. Saturday school is set up by the principal with the individual students who have a large number of detentions to work off. When a student is scheduled to come to Saturday school, the principal will notify the parents of the arrangements.
