INTRODUCTION
The Albion Public School District was first formed in 1882. The first building was built at a cost of $1,300 and housed 155 students. Building projects in 1907, 1913, 1952, 1973, 1984 and 1996 have resulted in the present facilities at Albion. Albion Public Schools merged with Petersburg Public Schools in 2000 to form Boone Central School.
The Boone Central High School staff of 30 provides instruction in basic and specialized educational programs for our current 9-12 student enrollment of approximately 290. We strive to provide an educational program with a sound foundation in the basics while continuing to provide the innovative and specialized programs that will allow our students to take their places in our increasingly complex, technological society.
