STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Students are expected to conduct themselves in such a manner as to not interfere with the mission of providing an appropriate educational program to all students. Behavior that causes any interference with this mission is in violation of the code of behavior.
STUDENT REPORTING
The prevention of school violence requires the help of parents, the community and the students themselves. Sharing information with school authorities is honorable and absolutely necessary if troubled students are to be helped and tragedy avoided. Among the behaviors that should be reported are threats of any kind, drastic behavior changes, antisocial behavior at home or in the community, an obsession with violence or weapons, withdrawal, depression, intolerance of race, religion or sexual preference, or other behavior and attitudes that would indicate a high level of anger or stress.
PUBLIC DISPLAY OF AFFECTION
Students are reminded that the school is a formal setting, much like a place of business. Behaviors that are not appropriate for public places make other people uncomfortable, show poor judgment, and are demeaning to the individuals involved. Please demonstrate respect for yourself and others by conducting yourself in a manner appropriate for a public place. Please limit displays of affection to hand holding.
