CAD Two
GRADING:
(A) Projects will be assigned point values depending on the complexity of the drawing and the number of printouts required (normally 2 points per printout). At the end of each quarter the number of points obtained out of the maximum possible will determine the student's grade. (i.e. 180 points out of 200 points = 90%)
(B) Completed projects will be graded on accuracy, completeness and attention to detail.
(C) By the end of each quarter students are expected to have all CAD and CAD related projects completed up to a predetermined cut off point. In case of classroom absenteeism, students must expect to put in out of classroom time to complete assigned projects. Students may come to Room 106 during 8th period to do makeup work.
(D) Projects not identified by name and other identifying information will be assessed a two point penalty.
(E) Disruptive Classroom Behavior: (See "Classroom Rules")
(1) -1 or -3 points
(2) Besides the point penalty above, I reserve the right to assign periods of detention of varying lengths or possible removal from the classroom.
CLASSROOM RULES:
(A) No MSN or other messaging will be allowed at any time during class. = 3 POINT PENALTY
(B) Requests to use the "Internet" during class time must be approved by Mr. Gilbertson
(C) Be present in class on time. Be seated ready to begin when the classroom bell rings.
(D) Follow all directions and be attentive, courteous, and respectful.
(E) Due to the expense of computer equipment no food, pop, candy, gum, or liquids of any kind should be brought into the computer area.
(F) Cell phones must remain completely off.
CALCULUS
GRADING:
(A) Tests = 100 points per each (Points will be allocated depending on the number of correct answers)
(B) Quizzes = 50 or less points each
(C) Possible Graphing Calculator Projects = 10, 15, or 20 points each
(D) Daily Assignments:
(1) In on time and completed satisfactorily = 2 points
(2) In late or not completed satisfactorily = 0 points
(Papers not done using erasable lead pencil may be considered unsatisfactory)
(Papers that are not identified by your name will always be considered unsatisfactory)
(Other identification such as page number will normally be expected)
(3) Not turned in by the end of the nine weeks = -4 points
(4) Not turned in before leaving for a SCHOOL ACTIVITY = -4 points
(Papers turned in satisfactorily completed later = -2 points)
(Rare exceptions to #(4) may transpire - such as rescheduled events not allowing students time to complete homework)
(D) Disruptive Classroom Behavior (or continued failure to bring materials)*
*(1) -1 point or -3 points

(C) Follow all directions and be attentive.
(D) Be courteous and respectful.
(E) No food, pop, gum or candy is to be brought to this classroom
Beside the point penalty above, I reserve the right to assign periods of detention of varying lengths (determined by the severity of the classroom disruption) or possible removal from the classroom.
ADVANCED MATH (PRE-CALCULUS)
GRADING:
(A) Tests = 100 points each (possibly 200 points for Semester Tests)
(B) Quizzes = 50 or less points each
(C) Computer Activities (Graphing Calculator) = 10, 15, or 20 points each
(D) Daily Assignments:
(1) In on time and completed satisfactorily = 2 points
(2) In late or not completed satisfactorily = 0 points
(Papers not done using erasable lead pencil may be considered unsatisfactory)
(Papers that are not identified by your name will always be considered unsatisfactory)
(Other identification such as page number will normally be expected)
(3) Not turned in by the end of the nine weeks = -4 points
