Message from Sr. Dolores

Third grade is a big step in education for eight and nine year-olds. They are expected to be more independent and be able to follow many more directions. They need to be organized, so that they will be ready to go from one subject to another quickly. They are expected to write in cursive in all subjects.
The school day begins by offering everything they think,do and say to God. The Morning Offering: O loving God, I give you this day all that I think and do and say, uniting it with what was done on earth, by Jesus Christ, your Son.
Besides the pledge of allegiance to the flag, they make a pledge that says: "I believe that I can be a good student. I believe that I can achieve. I believe that if I work hard, I will succeed. Therefore, I will work hard each day to do my best. I can learn. I will learn. I am an AmerICAN."
