Another year has come to a close and the sixth graders from the
2004-2005 are going to be competing in Washington D.C. for the History
Day Competition. In the Documentary category Levi McPhillips,
Olivia Sondermann, Jennifer Gokie, Stephen Pandorf, and Devin Zeller
have and entry entitled Code Talkers-Understanding Their Gift.
Another group that qualified for this national competition were a group
of girls who did a group performance on female writers as the great
communicators. They include Jaci Beauvais, Abby Schademann,
Samantha Ebner, Alise Perault and Amber Ewers. We anxiously await
the results of the competition as all parents and students take part in
this wonderful organized event. For many this also the first time
visiting our Nation's Capitol.
Later more students from Saint Isidore will be taking part in the NEED
Award Ceremonies. This is a year long activity that the students
worked on each week and submitted a scrapbook for judging through the
NEED Organization. Ask any student at Saint Isidore about what
their learned through the various peer teaching that took place this
year. Many valuable lessons were learned the NEED-National Energy
Education Development.
