MATERIALS:
 1 1/2" - 3 ring binder with name on the spine.
 To include the following:
 1. Reading Log

 2. Orange syllabus paper
 3. Vocabulary paper and summary
 4. Worksheets, writings, other projects 
 5. Loose leaf paper

READING LEVELS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

•  You must read a 3 point or above book and may only read up to a Level 6.5.
• You are reuqired to read at least 5 bookdds and complete the required quiz, writing, and voc. by the deadline.
• You cannot read more than 3 books of a series.
• You may read the "Reading Across America" books, the summary is one page describing 1 or 2 places you would like to visit and why
• Each week you must hand in your "Our of Class" reading slip with a minimum 60 pages read.

VOCABULARY, QUIZZES AND SUMMARIES- 

a. Quizzes will be taken during class.
 b. The vocabulary must be recited to me before taking a quiz.
	 - Your name, date, title of the book, and author on the first line.
 	- The vocabulary word
 	- Part of speech as used in the sentence.
	 - Correct definition to agree with the part of speech.
	 - The page number of the word in the margin
 	- Write out the full sentence from your book that contains the word.
	 - Student must be able to pronounce the word before taking the quiz.
