                                 A Little Bit About Mrs. Hamling

          I would like to take this time to introduce myself.  This is my eighteenth year of teaching First Grade.  This is my twelfth year at St. Edward Public and I previously taught First Grade for six years for Norfolk Public Schools prior to my marriage.  I graduated from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE with an Associate Degree in Elementary Education in 1983.  I earned my Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Elementary Education in 1985 and my Master of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1989 from Wayne State College.  I belong to various educational associations and have attended  post-graduate classes and workshops to keep up with some of the many changes in the world of education. 
          My husband Dean is a self-employed production agriculturalist or "farmer" in the Cedar Rapids/Greeley/Wolbach area  and he is also a liscensed real estate saleperson for Stock Auction and Realty.  We have twin daughters who love to spend time with their Mom at school and are really becoming great helpers!!  I am blessed to have a wonderful family at home,a terrific school to teach in and a supportive community to live and work in .  I love to teach First Grade-aged  students and enjoy each and every learning discovery.
