About
My job is to meet the needs of students who have been identified for services through a process dictated by law. An Individualized Education Plan is written by a team made up of classroom teachers, administration, parents, and other specialists and myself. The team determines goals based on the student's needs. Objectives or benchmarks are then determined in order to meet the goals. It is my job to coordinate the IEP in order that the team is working on the goals and objectives. Progress is then monitored every nine weeks. I may work with the student individually by teaching them directly or supporting the classroom teacher who works with them. This can be done in a variety of ways.
