Class Descriptions

JUNIOR HIGH INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

In this course, the students will continue to master their instruments through individual work, as well as with the ensemble. This group will be the feeder program for the high school band. Fundamentals in marching will be taught and practiced in the fall and spring. Students will gain experience by participating in parades. Students will explore more advanced music than elementary band, but not as difficult as the high school band. The students will learn the proper techniques, theory, and skills to create music. Students will gain knowledge, an understanding and success through rehearsals, concerts and contests throughout the year.
