British Literature/English IV with Mr. Gloor
Grading Policy
Each quarter, students will have the following weighted grade scale:
TESTS - 55%
DAILY (quizzes over homework and homework)- 20%
VOCABULARY (weekly quiz over ten or thirty words)- 15%
IN-CLASS (participation, effort, writing, etc.)- 10%
Supplies
Each student is responsible for paper and pen for each class session. All textbooks must be covered with an appropriate bookcover. Fines of a quarter or more a day will be assessed to anyone who does not have his or her book covered by the announced deadline.Homework and Make-up Work
Each student is expected to have all homework assignments completed on time. Students who have been or will be absent are responsible for completing all work covered in the missed class session(s). The deadline for all make-up work is by the end of the fifth day following the last day of absence. After the fifth day, the grade will become a zero. The student is responsible for seeing that all work is made up. Because Mr. Gloor is also the media specialist, the best time for making up work is before or after school in the media center. Making an appointment can be helpful in case of other obligations such as activity sponsorship or meetings.Ready, Set, Grow...
