You might hear your student refer to the term "from
L to J". This is a term they are hearing me use this year.
In an effort with the other Columbus Catholic social studies teachers,
I am trying to help students become more accountable for their learning.
Students are to be given a list of the important learnings in an
area. They are then quized on these learnings, and a record of
their score is kept.
We are in hopes of seeing the students graphs begin to look more like a J than a L. This is something that is just beginning here in Columbus, and not all classes will be working on it at the same time.
Others who have used this
program have found that students retain
information better, and really work hard to better their quiz
scores. It will be interesting to see how our St. Bons students
work with this program.
