Educational Service Unit #7 is the sponsoring agency for a support network to schools. With the support of the Nebraska Department of Education and the University of Nebraska System, The Autism Spectrum Disorders Network was created. The state is divided into five separate regions. The Northeast Regional Team provides services for ESU#1, ESU #7 and ESU #8. This program is designed to offer training and technical assistance to schools that have students with autism. Training and technical assistance is available for educational planning support in terms of communication, behavior, social skills training, fine & gross motor skills, transition and life skills. We also offer support to educational evaluation teams, provide in-services, resources and parent support services.
Our goal is to provide support to students and their families, educators and other school personnel, and to assist persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders to achieve their potential by becoming a productive, accepted, and integral part of our society.
Mission Statement- The Northeast Regional Autism Support Team is committed to being an informed resource in building the capacity of the local team to meet the individual educational needs of students on the autism spectrum
