Next Music Boosters meeting will be held on October 16, 2006 in the Middle School Music Room. 

Music Boosters Meeting Minutes for October 03, 2006

Present: Sharon Christensen, Deb Houdek, Quentin Zeller, Adam Lambert, Jay Ferris, Tammie Ferris

Treasurers Report: Deb reported the current balance of the account. She asked to be reimbursed for the McDonald¡Ùs coupons, that she had purchased, for the Music students, that traveled to Branson, in May.

Old Business: Tammie reported that the band calendars should be in any day! There was much discussion about fund raising. Some ideas included: ¡ Sloppy Joe or Taco Feed at a Basket ball game in January or February. ¡ Paintball Tournament ¡ Middle School Dance

New Business: Adam asked for help, paying for the choreographer, again this year. The total cost is $1200. He believes he does have some funding available.

Adam asked for drinks and snacks to be provided for the Show Choir, on October 15, while they work with the choreographer. Sharon and Tammie will make snacks and make drinks. Adam has drink mix left over from the sloppy joe feed, in February.

Sharon will pick up the students, involved in All State practice, on Saturday, October 07, 2006, from Harvest of Harmony and take them to Hastings.

Quentin asked for two sponsors for Harvest of Harmony. Deb said that she or Gary would sponsor and Sharon will contact one more person to sponsor.

Deb will buy and deliver drinks and donuts for the students going to Harvest of Harmony.

Quentin gave a heads up that this is the year for a major band trip. He is looking at possibly going to Chicago or Denver.

Sharon will put a notice, in the paper, about the next Music Boosters meeting. It will be held, Monday October 16, 2006, at 7:00 PM, in the Music room.

Sharon moved to pay the entire amount, for the choreographer, and Deb seconded the motion. Adam asked for the group to wait until he knew if he could get funding somewhere else. He did not want for the group to pay the entire amount if he could get help elsewhere. It was decided to wait and write him a check, for the amount he needs, next week.
