Present:

Mr. Lambert, Mr. Zeller, Mrs. Phillipi, Deb & Gary Houdek, Dave & Sharon Christensen, Gloria Gress, Dorine Galusha, Dawn Hanson, Tammie Ferris

Sharon Christensen called the meeting to order.

Treasurers Report:

Deb Houdek reported that after paying for the band calendars, we have $1469.03 in our checking account.  We also have $400 in a savings account.  It was brought to the group's attention, that the savings account is currently only accessible to former members.  It was moved by Dave and seconded, by Gary, to make the savings account accessible to Sharon Christensen, Sherry Sanchez, Deb Houdek and Tammie Ferris.  It was then moved by Gloria and seconded, by Sharon, to transfer the savings account over to the checking account and completely close the savings account.  Both motions were discussed and passed. 

New Business:

Mr. Zeller informed the group that he had several concession stands that we could work, as a fund raiser for the band trip.  The dates for concessions include:

November 30

January 11 @ 6:30 PM

January 20 @ 7:00 AM (Speech Meet)

February 12, 13, 15 for Sub District Basket Ball

February 19, 20, 22 for Sub District Basket Ball

Mr. Zeller also reported that the band would be going to Denver/Colorado Springs on May 24 - 27 for a band trip.  The approximate cost, for 36 passengers, will be $335 each.  This includes 3 breakfasts.

Mr. Zeller asked for financial help, from Music Boosters.  Gary moved to give $2200 to the band program.  Gloria seconded the motion.  Discussion followed.  The decision passed.

Old Business:

Adam asked for financial help with show choir costumes.  Sharon moved to give the show choir $700.  Gloria seconded.  Motion passed.

Tammie had dance posters, for the group, to approve.  It was decided to change the admission price to $3.00 with no soda.  Tammie will print the posters and get them to the school the week of the dance.

Sharon has been in contact, with Mr. Shoemaker, about a fund raiser, at a Basket ball game.  It was decided that we will sell walking tacos on January 12, 2007.  Adam, Sharon, Deb, Gloria and Dorine will each bring 5 pounds of hamburger.  The music and band kids will also be asked to bring the following:

Freshman and sophomores:  Small bags of chips

Juniors & Seniors:  Bars or Cookies

Sharon will advertise, in Aurora.

A Kiss the Pig contest was also discussed.  Mr. Zeller will talk to administration about taking part in this fund raiser activity.
