About
In spring of 2003, I accepted my first media position at Fullerton Public School. Along with that position came the responsibility of being the webmaster at the school. My summer internship in Media became a quest to learn web design. I enrolled in a trial membership on teacherweb.com and already had access to Manilla through ESU7. I created a website in each web format. The websites were presented to the superintendent at Fullerton and we weighed the pros and cons of a subscription to a web page versus free access through our ESU. We decided that even though the subscription site may have more eye appeal to elementary students, the free site could be visually appealing as well. I set about organizing information into table formats to make it easy to navigate throughout the website and maintain a neat and clean web site. The structure and format of the Fullerton Public School Web Page remain. I am proud of the fact that I "built it from scratch". It may not be flashy, but it is very functional.

My portion of a small group project was to look for search engines and resources designed for elementary students and elementary teacher resources. Many teachers don't have time to do the "legwork" for finding resources, so this project was designed to do some of the searching for them.
