Voyager II is traveling +37,000 mph (more than 2 times the speed of the space shuttle). It takes about 12 hours to receive a message from Voyager and another 12 hours to send one back. Voyager has been in space about 26 years. Voyager II will reach Sirius the brightest star (Orion's belt stars point toward Sirius.) in the sky in about 296,000 years.
