PHYSICAL SCIENCE ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
Home
The Environmental studies at Twin River consists of surface and well water testing, Soil testing, and GPS positioning. The project is in its twelth year.
The data collected by students has been posted on the Web for almost the entire twelve year period. Students in schools as far away as Australia have used our data for report purposes.
The project allows Twin River Chemistry, Physics, and Astronomy students to use science in a real time manner. Advanced students gain from this activity the know how to use modern technology in a practical no nonsense manner. Everything practiced in this project is being done by businesses in today's science/technology driven world.
The project is funded by grant dollars and costs the district very little. The project has never stopped growing and is becoming more vibrant each year. We owe a great deal of gratitude to those who help fund and facilitate this project. We live in a blessed place.
