EARTH SCIENCE PURPOSE STATEMENT: Eighth grade students will demonstrate appropriate foundational skills of science in the areas of geology, meterology, water and astronomy. LIFE SCIENCE PURPOSE STATEMENT: Seventh grade students will demonstrate a basic knowledge of science by explaining the scientific method, cell processes, and characteristics of organisms. PHYSICAL SCIENCE PURPOSE STATEMENT: Ninth grade students will experiment and analyze the relationships among motion, forces work, power, and simple machines, as well as evaluate energy transfer and basic chemistry. BIOLOGY PURPOSE STATEMENT: Tenth grade students will demonstrate appropriate foundational skills of science in the areas of ecology, evolution and classification. Anatomy and Physiology PURPOSE STATEMENT: Students will explain the structures and functions of the human body.
