Media Specialist

Responsibilities:

Teach Information Literacy Skills (ILS) to students to enable them to find, evaluate, use, and communicate information.

Collaboratively plans with staff to integrate ILS into teacher's curriculum.

Selects materials for staff and student use in the library media center.

Catalogs materials for the library media center using standard rules.

Administrates the library media program by carrying out media policies and overseeing the library media budget.

Provides inservice to staff when needed or when requested.

Library Media Assistant

Mrs. Nelson

Responsibilities:

Assists library media specialist in teaching, inventory, and various activities as needed.

Checks materials in and out and shelves materials.

Orders books, materials, supplies, and equipment.

Maintains record keeping of the budget, magazines, number of materials, overdue materials, new materials etc.

Assists with administrating the AR Reading program and other library programs.

Schedules and oversees volunteers.
