Circulation Home About Calendar Materials in the library media center Lost Creek's media center houses many types of materials to assist students in their educational needs. Included are nonfiction, fiction, and everybody books, kits(audiotape with book), videotapes, and magazines. Students need to follow the rules for proper care of these materials. Number of books you can check out Kindergarten students may check out 1 book at a time. They will need to return their book before they can check out another book. Students in 1st and 2nd grades may check out 2 items at a time. One item must be a book. Students in 3rd grade may check out 3 items at a time, one item must be a book. Students in 4th and 5th grades may check out 2 items at a time. If students need additional materials for research projects or a special project, they may check out more items. Length of check out for materials Materials from the media center are automatically checkout out for 2 weeks. Reference materials can be checked out for overnight only. Students may renew materials for an additional 2 weeks if it is needed. Overdue books or materials Media center staff will contact students by a written notice and/or in person if materials are overdue past the 2 week time period. Home
