Classroom Rules

1. Respect yourself, others and property.
2. Be on time.
3. Be ready for class each day. Bring a pen or pencil, class notebook and text each day. Students will not be allowed to go to their locker to get these items.
4. Cheating is not allowed. Students are to do their own work. Students will be given zeros that wil be averaged into their overall grade. Parents will be notified. This policy also covers any forged parent signatures on assignments where signatures are required.
5. Class work will be graded on a basis of 100%. Categories will be weighted.
6. All assignments are due at the beginning of class, unless the teacher has previously said class time will be allowed. If assignments are turned in later they wil be docked 10 points per day. All work must be turned in by the end of the unit or it will become a zero.
7. It is the student's responsibility to get make-up work when they are absent and to be sure it is turned in on time.
8. Retakes on tests or assignments occur only at teacher's discretion.
9. A separate three-ring binder is required. This will be used as your portfolio. The portfolio will contain a given list of requirements, depending on the class.
