The purpose of Speech is to introduce students to the wonderful world of public speaking. The first quarter will acquaint students with all aspects of the communication process. They will also be provided with many opportunites for small group communication and mini speeches. One of our favorite activities is reading to the kindergarten classes as we work on voice.
During the second quarter, the students will begin showcasing their speaking skills. Students will give two informative speeches, one persuasive speech, and a variety of smaller speeches which suit different purposes.
