About
On Saturday, January 26th the St. Francis Speech Team traveled to Dodge for the
first meet of the season. Twenty-one 9-12th grade student make up the speech
team each week vying for a varsity spot.
St. Francis medalists at the
Dodge meet were senior Jacob McPhillips - Humorous Prose. and junior Emily
German - Poetry in first. Second place medalists were seniors Jacob McPhillips
and Craig Baumgart - Duet, junior Savanah Ayala - Extemp., junior Laura
Brockhaus - Persuasive. Third place medalists were sophomore Robyn Classen -
Informative and junior Alyssa Keller - Serious Prose. Fourth place medalists
were junior Molly McPhillips - Humorous Prose. and sophomore Chelsea Lubischer -
Serious Prose. Sixth place medalists were sophomore Jeremy Hemmer - Humorous
Prose. and freshman Chris German - Entertainment.
The St. Francis Speech
Team will next travel to the Bancroft-Rosalie meet on Saturday, February 2nd
starting at 8:00AM.
