AUGUST: The first PTO meeting of the 2007-2008 school year was held on Monday, August 27, 2007.  Election of officers was held.  Projects planned for this year may include a Snowfall Contest, an annual fundraiser, and the annual Day of the Children Celebration.  Discussion was held concerning the future of Sunrise Elementary School and possible proposals.  A meeting will be held at Sunrise on Thursday, September 6, 2007, at 7:00 P.M. to discuss possible proposals to present to the LCS School Board at their next meeting to be held on Monday, September 10, 2007.
