I am a 1991 graduate of Burwell Jr. Sr. High School where I participated in Band (drum-major and played the clarinet), Cheerleading (wrestling mat-maid), Speech (poetry), B-Club Member (letter club), and announced at all home games.

I attended the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and majored in Middle Level Education: English, Language Arts, and Math. In college I played rec-softball, volleyball, and badmitton.

After graduating from UNL I was asked to come teach English at Humphrey St. Francis. After my first semester as a first-year teacher I continued my education through UNL and Wayne State College taking classes toward an endorsement in Secondary English.

Thirteen years later (after cheerleading sponsor, journalism advisor, and girls golf coach) and I am still at St. Francis but in a different role as a sixth-year counselor. In the summer of 2006 I completed my Master's Degree in 7-12 Counseling at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
