The St. Edward Student Council assisted Twin River and Cedar Rapids in hosting the District 5 Spring Meeting held on March 25 at Genoa. The theme of the meeting was 'Buckle Up or Eat Glass' and focused on highway safety. The main speaker, Russ Reineke of Carroll, Iowa spoke about the traffic accident that killed his 24 year old son, Dale, and three other people.
